Second edition of Wines and Dyes a unique experience designed for the Asociación Española de Químicos y Coloristas Textiles (AEQCT).

This special event offered attendees a tasting in which the content and the continent merged to explore the historical relationship between viticulture and textiles.

Since ancient times, these two sectors have been connected in surprising ways, from the use of natural wine extracts to dye fabrics to the influence of the textile trade in the wine regions. At Folgarolas Textil, we are proud to be part of an industry with so much historical and cultural richness, and events like this one allow us to continue weaving stories that add value to our legacy.

Teixim Relats

A journey through inks and wines

The link between textiles and viticulture is deeper than we could imagine at first glance. Beyond being two industries of great tradition, both have woven a common history that, over time, has become a fascinating story of the connection between nature, chemistry and human creativity.
This project, promoted by Teixim Relats de Sol Roig Proyectos and Magem Torrella Associats (Carola Magem and Jaume Torrella Ibáñez), continues to grow, documenting stories that reinforce the meaning of our industry and its connection with other sectors that, like textiles, also bear the imprint of tradition and innovation.

Thanks and expectations for the future

We want to express our most sincere thanks to David de Yzaguirre Melendres, who with his knowledge and passion has led this Vins i Tints experience, making each glass of wine and each story about color come to life in a special way.

From Folgarolas Textil, we are delighted to support initiatives that value the history of our industry, while also opening new doors to creativity, sustainability and innovation. The connection between the land and textiles is still alive, and events like this remind us that there are still many stories to tell.

The objective is to generate experiences that not only rescue the legacy of both sectors, but also open new perspectives on how these industries can inspire each other today. Sustainable fashion, for example, is increasingly exploring the use of natural dyes derived from agricultural products, including waste from viticulture, such as grape skins.
